Description
This is a very clean and 100% original vintage Rolex Oyster Cosmograph Daytona chronograph in stainless steel with Rolex Oyster bracelet. There are many Daytona imitators, but the original is and always will be King of the sports watch.
Original stainless steel case measures 38mm in diameter by 14mm thick. Condition is mint. Screw down pump chronograph pushers and screw down crown operating perfectly. Plastic crystal. Original bezel with “Units per Hour” scale from ‘50’ to ‘200’. Serial number 8782XXX dates production to 1985 which is in the later stages of 6263 production.
Original movement is the Chronometer certified manual winding Rolex Caliber 727 with 17 jewels and adjusted to three positions. This is a column wheel chronograph construction. Movement is pristine and operating perfectly. Chronograph resets to zero crisply and accurately.
Original untouched silver Big Red dial is really nice! Applied hour markers, black contrasting subdials, and with large font “DAYTONA” printed in red. Hands are original. Dial and hands are pristine.
Bracelet is the original Rolex Oyster reference 78350 with folding clasp.
