Description
These vintage Rolex watches with color change dials are, ultimately, pieces unique. Once a dial’s color starts to change, the change can terminate with a subtle lightening or darkening of the original color... or, as with this watch, the change can be profound. This untouched original dial is now a dark caramel color, which plays off against the golden hour markers, hands and 18k case in a sublime way.
Original solid 18k gold case with fluted bezel. Original screw down crown operating perfectly. Plastic crystal. Diameter is 36mm by 12mm thick.
Original color change to brown/caramel pie-pan dial with date at 3 o'clock.
Original Rolex automatic winding 1570 Caliber with 26 jewels and adjusted in 5 positions and to temperature. This C.O.S.C. Certified Chronometer movement is clean and running.
Strap is new brown suede, which complements the watch’s colors perfectly, with Rolex buckle.
