Description
This is an outstanding original untouched vintage Rolex Cosmograph Daytona chronograph reference 6239 with perfect condition three color "Paul Newman" step dial.
Original case is stainless steel with dimensions of 37mm diameter by 14mm thick. Case features include: screw down crown and round pump style chronograph pushers (all working properly and the chronograph resets crisply to the zero position), bezel with engraved "Units per Hour" scale ranging from '50' to '200' and plastic crystal. Inside case back is marked '6239'. Serial number is 1997XXX which dates production to 1968.
Original manual winding Rolex chronograph Caliber 722-1 with 17 jewels and adjusted to three positions. This movement features column wheel construction and is immaculate and running.
Original and untouched black three-color "Paul Newman" dial with crisp step, which is also known as an "exotic" dial. Contrasting white subdials, one for chronograph 30 minutes totalizer, one for chronograph 12 hour totalizer and one for constant seconds. Dial and hands are in perfect condition.
Bracelet is Rolex folded Oyster in stainless steel with 12 links and fold over clasp. Bracelet is in mint condition just like the watch.
