While Rolex made millions of steel Datejusts in the 1960s-1980s in the 16XX model range, this watch right here is effectively a piece unique. Original untouched dial is somewhere between very light grey and milk white with white text no less… and original Rolex papers.
Case is stainless steel with engine turned bezel. Diameter is 36mm. Screw down crown operating perfectly. Plastic crystal. Serial number 5176XXX dates watch to 1978 and the Japanese Guarantee certificate has an original retail sales date of June 12, 1978.
Movement is the automatic winding Rolex Caliber 1560 with 26 jewels and adjusted to 5 positions. Movement is a C.O.S.C. Certified Chronometer.
Original untouched dial is grey/white with “pie pan” edges and original hands.
Bracelet is Rolex Jubilee with stretch.
