Description
In addition to its original, untouched two-color “panda” Paul Newman dial, which would be spectacular by itself, this watch is also the earliest known example of the reference 6264 Daytona, with serial number 1947XXX which dates it to 1968. In other words, while Rolex was manufacturing and shipping the reference 6241 as its current model, Rolex produced this 6264.
Original 18k gold case measures 38mm in diameter by 14.5mm thick. Plastic crystal. Original screw down crown and pump style chronograph pushers operating perfectly. Original bezel with sharp edge and clean original black insert.
Original untouched two-color black Paul Newman dial is beautiful! Crisp step at the edge, crisp bezel edge, crisp case… crisp original everything!
