Description
Vintage Rolex watches with emblems or insignias from the middle east are highly collectable. This is the first Thunderbird we have come across with such a dial. This dial sports the emblem of the Hawk of Quraish from the Defense Ministry of the United Arab Emirates. The original 14k bezel is in mint condition and has crisp serrations and arabic numerals in relief.
Original case measures 36mm in diameter by 12.2mm thick. Screw down 14k gold crown operates perfectly. Bezel turns as it should. Clean original plastic crystal.
Original champagne pie-pan dial with the aforementioned emblem has applied golden hour markers, golden baton hands and date display at 3 o’clock. Dial is in mint condition.
Original automatic winding Rolex Caliber 1570 movement with 26 jewels and adjusted to five positions and temperature. This movement is a C.O.S.C. Certified Chronometer. Movement is clean and running.
