Talk about a special watch…! Wow. Audemars Piguet made 120 of these watches in 1995 to commemorate the company’s 120th anniversary. Even the skeletonized winding rotor is hand decorated and features ‘120’ which is in the center of the rotor. The movement (Caliber 2120) was introduced in this watch, which features the unusual week counter complication, with associated scale at the dial’s periphery. The rose dial is also very special.
The Royal Oak is really all about the watch case, and even more specifically, the octagonal bezel. This case is solid 18k rose gold all around, including the integral bracelet with folding clasp with safety button. The case is sleek and futuristic, with origins back to the early 1970s. The case features many beveled edges and the finish alternates between brushed and mirror polished surfaces. Front and display back crystals are sapphire. Case is 40mm diameter by 10mm thick.
The special rose colored dial commemorates AP’s 120th anniversary beneath the moonphase cutout with “1875-1995”. There is a week counter display around the dial’s edge with associated centrally mounted gold hand with arrow pointer. The main hands are blackened while the subdial hands are blued. The subdials display leap year and month, date, and day.

The rose gold bracelet is full-length and will fit up to an 8+ inch wrist.
