Description
These special Rolex watches with insignia/crest/coat of arms on the dial are higly collectable. The artwork on the dials add so much color that the watches look as amazing as they are rare. This watch has a dial with insignia from the Saudi Armed Forces. These watches were normally given as gifts to visiting VIPs, in this case with the military connection, the watch was likely a gift to a visiting highly ranking military officer from a different country.
The watch received a full Rolex service in December 2013, so you know it is in perfect condition cosmetically and mechanically. Rolex collectors know all about so-called “transitional” Submariners and GMTs and other sports models… but not so much the Datejust.
Plastic crystals and quickset dates rarely occur in the same watch, as they do on this model 16030 Datejust.
Original mint+ condition stainless steel case has steel fluted bezel also known as engine-turned, plastic crystal, screw-down crown operating perfectly, and dimensions of 36mm diameter by 12.5mm thick.
Original silver dial with aforementioned insignia, golden applied hour markers and golden baton hands, and date at 3 o’clock.
Original automatic winding Rolex Caliber 3035 with 27 jewels and adjusted in 5 positions and to temperature. This movement is a C.O.S.C. Certified Chronometer.
Original Rolex Jubilee bracelet in stainless steel in mint condition.
