Description
The price of these vintage Tudor Submariners has caught up to the vintage Rolex Submariners, mainly because the Tudor watches are rarer. Everyone knows that Rolex made Tudor watches – in fact, Rolex signed the case, used a Rolex TripLock crown and even outfitted these with Rolex Oyster bracelets. However, because Tudor’s production was much lower than Rolex’s, the vintage Tudors are more exotic.
Original case is stainless steel with diver’s count-up timing bezel, plastic crystal, and water resistant to 200 meters. The case back is signed OYSTER CASE BY ROLEX GENEVA. Screw down crown is the Rolex TripLock crown and is operating perfectly. Case is full metal with fat lugs. Dimensions are 40mm diameter by 12.2mm thick.
Original matte black meters-first dial with silver wheel date display at 3 o’clock.
Original movement is the automatic winding ETA Caliber 2824 which Tudor had specially upgraded for more accuracy and durability.
Bracelet is Rolex Oyster 93150 with 12 links and flip-lock clasp. Watch and bracelet are in clean, mint condition.
