Description
We buy the occasional pocket watch, but are known as one of the biggest high-end collectable wristwatch dealers in the world. This IWC pocket watch though, has us excited. We didn’t even know how rare it was when we bought it; we just knew that we liked it a lot.
Case is solid 18k white gold with an engraved pattern akin to a bark finish, but not exactly. This patterns is on all external surfaces of the watch. Diameter is 44.5mm and thickness is 7.3mm. Case is in mint+/new old stock condition.
Original untouched blue mother of pearl dial with white roman numerals and original white baton hands.
Original IWC manual winding Caliber 95 which is, astonishingly, only 3mm thick. Movement is clean and running.
Remarkably, this watch has its original plastic folio for the papers and the warranty booklet. The Guarantee Certificate is endorsed and dated 46.5.16 (May 16, 1964) and it was originally retailed in Japan.
