Description
This has to be one of the very nicest looking Rolex watches we have ever seen, much less owned and offered for sale. The watch would be spectacular even before taking into consideration its extremely rare and original untouched dial.
Solid 18k gold case with engine-turned bezel, plastic crystal, screw down crown operating perfectly and fat uniform lugs. It is likely that this watch is never polished. Examining the bezel, we can observe sharp edges and the very fine engraved lines are undiminished. Case measurements are 34mm diameter by 12mm thick.
Original untouched eggshell white dial with applied golden hour markers with the highly prized “Concorde” markers at the cardinal positions with the Rolex coronet in 18k applied at 12 o’clock and “ROLEX” also applied in golden letters. Embossed minutes/seconds chapter and my favorite: original golden dauphine hands.
Automatic winding Rolex Caliber 1030 with 30 jewels and balance adjusted to temperature and in 5 positions. Movement is a C.O.S.C. Certified Chronometer and is clean and running.
Watch is on 18k Rolex beaded grain of rice bracelet which is, like the watch, in mint original condition.
This is an important and beautiful vintage Rolex watch and a real treasure for collectors!
