Description
Here is a rare model 1990’s Audemars Piguet Huitieme automatic chronograph. This reference 25644 was made predominantly in solid 18k or in all stainless steel, and always on a strap. This 18k and steel model on a bracelet is a rare watch. Bracelet has never been sized and will fit up to an 8.5 inch wrist. Condition is like new.
Case is 40.5mm diameter by 11mm thick with sapphire crystal. Solid 18k gold bezel is engraved ‘AUDEMARS PIGUET’. Integral gold and steel bracelet with invisible clasp.
Dial is silvered to the point of appearing white, with applied golden markers, subdials traced in gold which is always a sign of quality and date window at 3 o’clock. Golden baton hands and blued subdial hands. Subdial at 12 o’clock is constant seconds; subdial at 9 o’clock is chronograph 30 minute totalizer and subdial at 6 o’clock is chronograph 12 hour totalizer. Tachymeter scale at edge of dial.
Automatic winding Audemars Piguet Caliber 2126/2840 with 21k gold winding rotor.
Watch is in like new condition. If you are like I am, and get nostalgic for watches from when you started collecting (for me it was the ‘90s), then this is an excellent opportunity to acquire a watch that will not come around again.
