Description
Everybody knows that Rolex made Tudor watches using Rolex cases, bracelets and other parts. Tudor chronographs have never even approached the Rolex Daytona chronograph in price, but you know what? Apart from the movements, there is hardly any difference in the watches except, well, the Tudor has a date whereas the Daytona is sorely missing a date display.
Stainless steel case diameter is a robust 40mm (42 including the crown guards) by a beefy 13.9mm thick. Crystal is sapphire. Bezel is polished steel with the familiar Units per Hour scale. Screw-down crown and chronograph pushers. Case back says TUDOR PRINCE GENEVA.
Original and great looking black dial, with magnified date and with three contrasting white subdials (running seconds, chronograph 30 minutes and 12 hours totalizers), applied indices, signed TUDOR PRINCE DATE AUTOMATIC CHRONO TIME. Original baton hands, black chronograph hands, minutes and 5ths of a second chapter around the periphery.
Automatic winding Tudor caliber which is a special refined version of the venerable and indestructible Valjoux 7750 with 25 jewels, beating at 28,800 beats per hour.
Tudor Oyster bracelet with 12 links and folding clasp. Watch is in like new condition.
