Description
This is a very rare, very special Patek Philippe, which does not appear on the market very often. In fact, only five reference 3619s have appeared at auction in the past ten years. I am a great admirer of this combination of white gold case and black diamond dial. Upon close inspection it's clear that this watch is first class -- as all Pateks are, inevitably.

The 3619 was produced in limited quantities in the 1970s. Featuring a large, horizontally oriented oval case shape (38mm across by 36mm tall by 10mm thick) with sapphire crystal and beautiful dial with diamonds, this model was made for travelers.

There is a second hour hand which is moved forward or backwards in one hour increments by depressing buttons on the left-side of the case. This way, a traveler is instantly apprised of both local and home times. Patek received the Swiss patent for this modification to the movement which allows the hour hand to be moved by push button in 1959 under the name of “Time Zone Watch”. The watchmaker Louis Cottier is credited with this innovation, on behalf of Patek.

Caliber inside is the manually winding Patek Philippe Caliber 27 HS 400 which is rhodium plated, decorated with a "Fausses Cotes" pattern, has 18 jewels, Gyromax balance, and self-compensating Breguet balance spring. The movement is double stamped with the Geneva Seal, attesting to the mastery of the caliber designers and constructors.

The watch offered here is on an integral 18k white gold mesh bracelet and is in mint+ condition.
