Description
Every day that goes by, these vintage Rolex Cosmograph Daytona chronographs get more classic, more rare, more collectable and, frankly, more expensive.
Original case is stainless steel with dimensions of 37.5mm diameter by 13.8mm thick. Plastic crystal. Original bezel still has its sharp edges. Original clean insert with Units Per Hour scale from ‘50’ to ‘200’. The original screw down crown and screw down chronograph pushers are all operating perfectly. The chronograph hands reset crisply and accurately to their zero positions. Serial number 3986XXX dates production to 1973.
Original black Sigma dial is in mint+ perfect condition, with contrasting silver sunken subdials with concentric guilloche, applied white gold hour markers, and original hands which are also in mint+ condition. The subdial hands are black for legibility.
Original manual winding Rolex Caliber 727, which has 17 jewels, is adjusted to 3 positions, and features column wheel construction. The movement is pristine and running.
Bracelet is Rolex riveted Oyster with 12 links in mint condition.
