Description
When Rolex revamped the Submariner a few years ago, introducing the ceramic bezel and new case style, they really hit it out of the park. This blue dial with diamond hour markers is now discontinued. It’s a marvelous looking dial inside a marvelous looking watch.
Case is massive stainless steel with FAT lugs, brush finished on the top surfaces and mirror polished on the sides, blue and gold ceramic bezel insert, and with dimensions of 41.2mm diameter (although Rolex says 40mm but my digital calipers don’t lie) by 12.9mm thick. Sapphire crystal. Look at the crown guards – also significantly more massive than in previous case designs. Ditto the solid 18k bezel, which is bigger than its predecessor. Triplock screw down crown. Case is water resistant to a minimum of 1000 feet = 300 meters.
Now discontinued blue dial with diamond hour markers, large luminous hands and date at 3 o’clock. The dial color is somewhere between blue and purple and very attractive!
Rolex automatic winding Caliber 3135 with 31 jewels, beating at 28,800 beats per hour, with Parachrom Breguet spring and other Rolex advancements. Movement is a C.O.S.C. Certified Chronometer.
Rolex Oyster bracelet in 18k and steel with sliding adjustable flip-lock clasp. These new clasps are a huge improvement over the folded steel clasps Rolex used for decades.
Watch is like new with Rolex box and accessories.
