Description
The Watch Gods were smiling, when Rolex started making Daytonas. This reference 6241 Cosmograph Daytona is 14k gold and in mint, original condition. The gold case and black bezel insert and black dial make an arrestingly great looking watch.
Original 14k gold case measures 37.5mm diameter by 13mm thick. Crystal is plastic. The 6241 bezel features an insert that is clear acrylic over a black background with the white Units per Hour scale underneath. The scale is from ‘50’ to ‘200’ and the insert is very clean. The screw down crown and pump style chronograph pushers are all working great. Inside case back is engraved ‘6241’. Serial number 2084XXX dates production to 1969.
Original champagne dial features applied golden hour markers, contrasting black color subdials with guilloche and golden baton hands. Condition of the dial is untouched and mint.
Original movement is the manual winding Rolex Caliber 722 with 17 jewels, adjusted to three positions and with column wheel construction. This movement is clean and running.
New rustic Italian leather strap with Rolex buckle.
