Description
The Patek Philippe reference 1593 is known as the Hour Glass. Originally released in 1944, this model inspired subsequent, similarly designed models like the 2441 and 2442. Case is never polished, in 18k rose gold, with concave sides and thick flared lugs. Case sides are arched and the original crystal is faceted. The case was made by Markowski, who specialized is formed cases during this period. The 1593 was the first Patek wristwatch with this hour glass shape and is an influential case design for many watches that proceeded it. Dimensions are 42.5mm long from lug tip to lug tip, by 22mm wide by 9.6mm thick.

Original untouched silver dial with applied golden numerals and elongated hour markers, subsidiary seconds dial and original golden feuille hands. The PATEK PHILIPPE GENEVE signature and the subsidiary seconds chapter are engraved into the dial are engraved and hard enameled.

Movement is the tonneau shaped manual winding Caliber 9 90 with 18 jewels and blued Breguet balance spring. Movement is clean and running.
