I can’t think of a rarer modern new Patek Philippe than the 5961R. It is not even on the Patek website. The combination of rose gold case and black dial has always been my favorite. Add to this the 3.48 carat baguette diamond bezel and the watch is simply amazing.
Rose gold case with 40.5mm diameter has sapphire crystals front and display back, and houses the important Patek Philippe Caliber CH 28-520 which is Patek’s first-ever manufacture chronograph caliber and the firm’s first-ever automatic winding chronograph. The movement has 40 jewels and an approximately 50 hour power reserve and is stamped with the Patek Philippe Seal.
Black dial with baguette diamond hour markers displays day, date and month along with the conventional time plus the ingenious chronograph totalizer subdial that combines the 30 minute and 12 hour indicators. There is even an AM/PM indicator and power reserve display.
Even the 18k rose deployment clasp has .97 carats of baguette diamonds inset.
