Description
The Patek Philippe Calatrava reference 570 is a perfect design. It embodies the quintessence of form following function. It is a beautiful timepiece that offers nothing more than is necessary to tell the time on a wristwatch. It’s at once subtle and sublime. The fact that it’s white gold is its only extravagance.
Original never polished case is 18k white gold with dimensions of 35.5mm diameter and 11mm thick. Crystal is acrylic. The unmolested original finish alternates between polished and brushed surfaces. The simple and elegant case lines are perfect. Condition is unpolished mint.
Original dial is mint, untouched, and silvered with applied index style hour markers, sweep seconds hand and beautiful dauphine hands. The minutes chapter is engraved into the dial, then the dots are filled with white gold. Adhering to the form follows function dictate, this dial offers no more or less than is necessary to tell the time.
Original movement is the manual winding Patek Philippe Caliber 27SC with 18 jewels, self compensating Breguet balance spring which is adjustable with a swan’s neck regulator, and is adjusted to heat, cold, isochronism and in 5 positions. The movement is double stamped with the Geneva Seal.
