Description
The Day Date is Rolex's top of the line watch. Displaying the day of the week below 12 o'clock and the date at 3 o'clock, this model became known as the President because the watch was worn by numerous American Presidents.
Produced only in 18k gold and in platinum, the Day Date over the years has had some very interesting dials. One of our favorites is Tiger’s Eye, which is a natural stone. Rolex stone dials are highly prized by collectors. In fact, since each is cut from a larger chunk of the respective stone, each dial is effectively a piece unique. Rolex had the good judgement to keep the dial as free from clutter as possible, with just minimal text – so the wearer can enjoy the wonderful dial without distraction.
Original never polished solid 18k gold case with original solid gold patterned bark bezel, sapphire crystal, screw-down 18k crown and with dimensions of 36mm diameter by 12.5mm thick.
Rolex automatic winding Caliber 3055 with 27 jewels and adjusted to 5 positions and temperature. Movement is clean and running. This movement is a C.O.S.C. Certified Chronometer with quick set date.
Full length Rolex President bracelet with bark textured center links, zero stretch and invisible closing clasp.
Watch is in never polished mint+ condition.
