Description
If you started collecting watches in the 1990s, you are surely an admirer of the Jaeger LeCoultre Master 1000 Hours series of watches. There were many models, but the Master Moon was always the nicest of the line. Now discontinued, the Master Control 1000 Hours watches are collectable. They were always beautiful ;-)
Stainless steel case with dimensions of 37mm diameter by 10.3mm thick. Front and display back sapphire crystals. Signed original crown. Water resistant to 50 meters.
Dial is a nod to the triple date calendar watches from the 1950s. Silver with applied hour markers and numerals, with apertures for day and month, moonphase and age of the moon above 6 o’clock and the date is indicated by the hand with the red crescent along with blue scale at the edge of the dial. Dauphine hands.
Movement is the automatic winding JLC Caliber 891/2-448 with 34 jewels, beating at 28,800 beats per hour, 38 hour power reserve and winding rotor with 22k segment to increase mass for improved winding efficiency. The model series was called Master Control 1000 Hours because Jaeger LeCoultre tested the movements stringently for 1000 hours before casing them in a watch.
Strap is black JLC crocodile with tang buckle.
Condition is 99% new with JLC box and booklets.
