Description
Here is a very nice mint condition vintage Rolex Cosmograph Daytona model 6239 with especially nice looking and rare black dial.
Original stainless steel case measures 36mm diameter by 14mm thick. Plastic crystal. Screw down crown is original and operating perfectly. Round pump-style chronograph pushers are also operating crisply and the chronograph hands all reset accurately to their zero positions. Case back has personalized engraving. Bezel edge is sharp – very nice case!
Serial number 2011XXX dates production of this watch to 1967/1968. Inside case back is stamped ‘6239’.
Original untouched black dial with contrasting silver subdials and original hands.
Original movement is the manual winding Rolex Caliber 722-1 with 17 rubies and column wheel construction. The movement is in clean, running condition.
Bracelet is Rolex riveted Oyster in mint condition.
