Description
The screw-down chrono pusher 6263 and 6265 Daytonas are the all-time nicest chronographs ever made. This is an honest survivor, with its fantastic silver “Big Red” Daytona dial. If you like vintage watches, and want to have a Collection of One watch, this is your watch.
Original stainless steel case is 38mm in diameter by 13.2mm thick. Original screw down chronograph pushers and original screw down crown, all working perfectly. Plastic crystal. Original bezel with Units per Hour scale from ‘50’ to ‘200’. Bezel is clean and with original sharp edge. Serial number 5528XXX dates production to 1978.
Original untouched and vibrant silver Big Red Daytona dial with applied hour markers and contrasting black subdials with concentric guilloche. Hands are all original and the subdial hands are white so as to maximize legibility against the black subdials. Dial is in perfect condition.
Original movement is the manual winding Rolex Caliber 727 with 17 jewels and adjusted to three positions. This chronograph caliber features column wheel construction. Movement is clean and running.
Bracelet is Rolex 78350 Oyster with 12 links in excellent condition.
