Description
Appearing on the market for the first time, this never polished, untouched example is the nicest reference 530 ever to appear on the market.
Introduced in the late 1930s and made into the late 1950s, this rare production model has only appeared in 30 examples – the vast majority with 19mm lug width cases. This circa 1941 watch is in spectacular original condition and features the extremely rare and desirable 22mm lug configuration, making the watch appear that much larger.
Original never polished 37mm case in 18k, made for Patek by Croisier, the leading watch case maker at the time. Case alternates mirror and brush finished surfaces, with oval shaped chronograph pushers and original crown, 18k snap back and original perfectly clean domed acrylic crystal.
Untouched and beautiful original silver dial with applied golden Arabic numerals and indices along with original golden feuille hands. Two sunken subdials, one for constant seconds and other is the chronograph 30 minute totalizer. Note the original chronograph hands are blued. There is a tachometer scale at the edge of the dial and adjacent seconds chapter. Dial is in perfect condition.
Patek Philippe manual winding Caliber 13-130 with 23 jewels, Breguet balance spring, micrometer regulator and with 8 adjustments. This is a column wheel chronograph construction. Movement is in perfect condition and is stamped with the Geneva Seal.
Vintage brown pebbled leather Patek Philippe strap with vintage 18k Patek buckle.
