Description

Original excellent condition case is stainless steel with dimensions of 40mm by 13.9mm thick. Crystal is plastic. Screw down “Trip Lock” crown is original and working smoothly. This case has its full metal – fat and even lugs with crisp “third edge” bevel. Original bezel with “Ghost” insert which means the original black color has faded to a mellow gray that flatters the overall look of the watch.
Original untouched mint condition Mark 4 dial with tritium hour markers and hands. Of course, the highlight of the dial is the red “SUBMARINER” which is printed first in white and then painted again in red. Date at 3 o’clock.
Original movement is an automatic winding Rolex Caliber with 26 jewels and adjusted to five positions and temperature. This movement is a C.O.S.C. Certified Chronometer. Movement is clean and running. As collectors know, this is the first Submariner to have the date feature.
