Description
This vintage 1970 Rolex Datejust model 1601 is THE classic version of the Datejust. This watch is in never polished immaculate condition. The dial is extraordinarily rare: it is crimson color with glossy lacquer and can be easily confused for an enamel dial.
Original stainless steel case is 36mm diameter. Bezel is 18k white gold and perfectly crisp and mint. Plastic crystal. Screw down crown operating flawlessly. Serial number 2523XXX dates the watch to 1970.
Original untouched perfect condition gloss crimson lacquer dial with applied white gold hour markers and original hands and date display at 3 o’clock.
Rolex automatic winding Caliber 1570 which is a 26 jewel C.O.S.C. Certified Chronometer, adjusted in 5 positions and to temperature. Movement is clean and running.
Rolex Jubilee bracelet in clean condition.
