This is the dressed up version of the model 5035 annual calendar, which was, in fact, the first annual calendar. Patek hold the original Swiss patent for the annual calendar complication, which is an astute innovation as it provides 98% of the functionality of a perpetual calendar, at half the price. This 5037/1G is the annual calendar that no one knows about. Fewer than a handful have ever appeared on the market. The 5035 model on a strap and the 5037 share the same movement and complications, and the later 5036 and 5037 share the same bracelet. No other annual calendar model features the combination of bracelet and diamond bezel and dial with diamond markers. White gold case is 37mm diameter by 11.6mm thick with original diamond bezel. Sapphire crystals in front and in display back. Original 18k white gold bracelet with folding safety clasp. Rare white dial with diamond hour markers.
