Description
Everything about this vintage Rolex Daytona Paul Newman is 100% original and in mint+ condition. Serial number 2.1M dates it to between 1968 and 1969.
The 14k gold case has sharp edges and its original bezel with original and mint black insert with Units per Hour scale ranging from ‘50’ to ‘200’. The screw down crown is original and working great. The round pump chronograph pushers are working crisply and the chronograph hands reset perfectly to their zero positions. Crystal is plastic.
Original and 100% untouched Paul Newman dial is gold color with contrasting black subdials with concentric guilloche. The step is crisp and clear. Original hands are mint.
Movement is the original manual winding Rolex Caliber 722-1 in pristine condition and is working perfectly. This column wheel chronograph caliber has 17 jewels and is adjusted to 3 positions.
Rolex riveted Oyster bracelet in 14k is as clean and mint as the watch.
