Description
These 18k Daytonas on straps are so good looking. Rolex uses an 18k deployant clasp on the brown crocodile strap. With the gold dial, the overall combination of brown and gold offers a rich warmth not seen on other watches. This watch is new with factory plastic still adhered to the watch case.
Case is 18k gold with all of the Oyster trademarks: screw down 18k crown and 18k chronograph pushers, sapphire crystal, three piece case construction with massive 18k screwback. The 18k bezel has a “Units per Hour” scale ranging from ‘60’ to ‘400’. Dimenions are 40mm diameter by 12.3mm thick.
Dial is gold with applied luminous markers, gold subdial registers, golden baton hands with luminous, 30 minute and 12 hour chronograph registers and “DAYTONA” in red.
Movement is the Rolex automatic winding Caliber 4130. Rolex designed and built this caliber as the best chronograph movement that could be manufactured. They concentrated on technical excellence (long lubrication life, long service intervals and minimizing friction), timekeeping excellence (C.O.S.C. Certified Chronometer) and serviceability (the watchmakers can service and/or repair the caliber easily).
Strap is new unworn brown Rolex alligator with 18k Rolex deployant clasp.
Watch is new with Rolex box and late 2013 warranty card and booklets. Factory plastic still on case, never removed. US Retail price is $25,150.
