This platinum Nautilus 5711/1P is so rare that Patek has not included it in catalogs or on their website. Introduced in 2013 and offered only to their most elite customers, fewer than 20 watches have been made. This watch is double-sealed factory new with box and papers.
The Nautilus reference 5711 is the latest incarnation of the original, men's Jumbo size, classic Nautilus. Updated in 2006 as the centerpiece of the 30th Anniversary Nautilus Collection, this platinum version is literally the rarest of the rare modern Patek watch.
The Nautilus is all about its case and is Patek’s luxury sports watch. The Nautilus is one of Gerald Genta’s masterpieces. Case is 43mm wide (40mm not including the case wings) by 8.5mm thick. Sapphire crystals front and back and screw down crown. Water resistant to 120 meters. This is a very thin case for an automatic watch, which is considered a prestigious accomplishment for a watch manufacturer.
Dial is a vibrant blue, unlike the usual blue-gray color for a Nautilus. One subtle design touch, is that unlike on all other Nautilus watches where PATEK PHILIPPE GENEVE is printed over the horizontal guilloche, on this watch Patek left a flat area, an island if you will, to print the text. Applied hour markers and hands with inlaid luminous and date at 3 o’clock.
Movement is the automatic winding Patek Philippe Caliber 324 SC with 29 jewels, a power reserve of up to 45 hours, 213 individual parts and is stamped with the Patek Philippe Seal.
Integral and iconic Nautilus bracelet in platinum with flip-lock invisible clasp.
