Description
Here is an early all-original and collectable vintage Rolex Cosmograph Daytona chronograph with original untouched black dial.
Original stainless steel case has correct Mk2 steel bezel with the legendary Units per Hour scale, plastic crystal, original screw down crown and round pump-style chronograph pushers both working great, and screw back engraved with ‘6239’. Dimensions are 37mm diameter by 13mm thick. Serial number 1090XXX dates production to 1964.
Original early two-line black dial with contrasting silver subdials.
Original manual winding Rolex Caliber 72B with 17 jewels, which shows how early in Daytona production this watch is. This chronograph caliber features column wheel construction. Movement is clean and running.
Rolex folded Oyster bracelet with 12 links in extra-clean condition with no stretch.
