Description
The Royal Oak is, along with the Patek Nautilus, the most elite of the sports watches. The Royal Oak has been adapted over the years into all kinds of different sizes, case metals and different combinations of complications. What they all share, is the iconic octagonal bezel, sculpted case with integral bracelet, and instant recognizability.
Steel Royal Oak case with is 39mm diameter. The fit and finish on a Royal Oak is superior and the case surfaces alternate between mirror polished and brush finished surfaces. The octagonal bezel is iconic and is outfitted with a sapphire crystal, as is the display back. Signed crown. Bracelet is integral to the case and tapers toward the‘AP’shaped deployment clasp with safety closure.
Silver dial with Clous de Paris decoration and applied hour markers and hands, both of which are inlaid with luminous. Dials are sunken and traced in white gold. Many Royal Oak perpetual calendars do not have the leap year indicator, so this is a rare variant. Moonphase dial cut-out above 6 o’clock.
Automatic winding Audemars Piguet Caliber 2120/2802 with 38 jewels. You can see the movement through the display crystal, and feast your eyes on the hand-decorated skeletonized winding rotor with attached 21k gold segment to improve winding efficiency. Movement has 40 hour power reserve and beats at 19,800 beats per hour.
