Description
The La Dona de Cartier watch is a tribute to Maria Felix, who was a mid twentieth century Mexican film actress. Ms. Felix is known to have appeared at Cartier, unannounced, holding a pet crocodile. She commissioned some jewelry pieces from the firm and became an unofficial brand ambassador for Cartier. This watch was designed in her memory, and the unusual case shape is inspired by the shape of a crocodile’s mouth.
Asymmetrical 18k rose gold case with round-cut diamond bezel, with dimensions of 28mm long by 27mm wide at the bottom and 22mm wide at the top of the case. Sapphire crystal. Crown is set with diamond cabochon.
Asymmetrical dial is silver with sunray guilloche, roman numerals and blued sword hands. Movement is Cartier quartz caliber for accurate and trouble-free timekeeping.
