Rolex collectors know all about so-called “transitional” Submariners and GMTs and other sports models… but not so much the Datejust. Plastic crystals and quickset dates rarely occur in the same watch. This model 16014 Datejust is a rare bird.
Never polished original stainless steel case has 18k white gold bezel, plastic crystal, screw-down crown operating perfectly, and dimensions of 36mm diameter by 12.5mm thick.
Original silver dial with radial sunburst finish, original diamond hour markers and date at 3 o’clock.
Original automatic winding Rolex Caliber 3035 with 27 jewels and adjusted in 5 positions and to temperature. This C.O.S.C. Certified Chronometer movement is immaculate and running.
Rolex Jubilee bracelet with zero stretch.
Watch is in unpolished new condition and is from the desirable ‘R’ serial number production.
