You simply will not find a better looking vintage GMT than this watch right here, right now. Rolex GMT 16578 in never polished 18k gold with 18k Rolex Jubilee bracelet in mint+ condition. This is a transitional GMT. The 16758 model introduced the sapphire crystal and also features a quick-set date (a short lived attribute). Rolex soon after dropped the quick set date, opting instead to introduce the GMT Master II with its quick set 24 hour hand instead. This is a rare GMT.
Unpolished 18k gold case with dimensions of 40mm diameter by 12mm thick. Screw down crown. Sapphire crystal. Solid 18k original bezel with all-brown insert, which is extremely clean. Case is perfect.
Brown Nipple dial has mellowed to a golden brown and is amazing looking. A pleasure just to stare at. Date at 3 o’clock.
Movement is the Rolex automatic Caliber 3075 with 27 jewels, quick set date and 24 hour hand for second time zone tracking. Watch is running great.
Bracelet is 18k gold Rolex Jubilee also in mint+ condition.
