Description
They’re not making them anymore. You hear people say that a lot in the antique world. Or, they don’t make them like they used to. And it’s true; Rolex isn’t making these 6265s or any vintage Daytona models ever again. Fact is, they are getting rarer every year. No chronograph has ever looked half as nice as one of these vintage Daytonas and likely, none ever will.
Original stainless steel case is 37mm in diameter by 13.5mm thick. Original screw down chronograph pushers and original screw down crown, all working perfectly. Plastic crystal. Original bezel with Units per Hour scale from ‘50’ to ‘200’. Serial number 3362XXX dates production to 1972.
It’s nice to see a non Big Red dial; these dials are so clean and balanced looking. Original untouched black dial with applied hour markers and contrasting silver subdials with concentric guilloche.
Original movement is the manual winding Rolex Caliber 727 with 17 jewels and adjusted to three positions. This chronograph caliber features column wheel construction. Movement is clean and running.
Bracelet is Rolex 78350 heavy link Oyster in mint condition. Watch is very clean and mint.
