Description
This watch makes you take a second, then third look. The case is extremely crisp. The dial is extremely nice. The original box and papers are the proverbial icing on the cake. Mint+ condition and complete!
Original black meters-first dial (“200M = 660 ft” depth rating). Uniform and pleasing light patina on the hour markers and hands. Many vintage Rolex collectors consider the 5513 dial to be the most beautiful and harmonious thanks to the absence of the extra lines of text on other Submariner dials.
Original mint+ condition case is stainless steel with dimensions of 40mm by 14.5mm thick. Domed plastic crystal. Screw down crown is operating smoothly. Case features its full metal, fat lugs and crisp edges. Bezel turns smoothly. Inside case back is stamped with the date code IV.68 and the serial number 2392XXX supports the 1968 production date.
Original movement is the automatic winding Rolex Caliber 1520 with 26 jewels. The movement is pristine and running.
Rolex folded link Oyster bracelet with flip-lock clasp, which like the watch itself, in mint+ condition.
Watch is accompanied by original Rolex box and papers dated “27-12-70”.
