This reference 16808 Submariner is from ‘R’ production (1987-88). If you like gold watches, there is no more handsome watch in the world than a gold Sub. This watch happens to have an extremely attractive and compelling color change dial, to its current gold color, which is insanely nice.
Solid 18k gold Oyster case measures 40mm diameter by 12.7mm. Being a Submariner, the watch is water resistant to 300 meters (1000 feet) and features a sapphire crystal and screw down crown. The bezel is sold 18k gold and turns smoothly.
Original “nipple” dial has changed color to its current uniform gold color. Date window at 3 o’clock.
Movement is the automatic winding Rolex Caliber 3035 with 27 jewels and is a C.O.S.C. Certified Chronometer. Movement is clean and running.
Bracelet is the original 18k Rolex Oyster with heavy gold links and flip-lock clasp.
