Description
Long before the GMT came with a green dial, or a ceramic bezel, or had nicknames like the “Batman”, it came with a practically unknown special order option – the blue bezel insert. When a vintage GMT with an original blue bezel insert appears, it’s rightfully a big deal. A very rare occurrence indeed, eclipsed only by how fantastic a “Blueberry” GMT looks. Just amazingly nice.
Original stainless steel Oyster case is 40mm diameter, with plastic crystal, screw down crown, and this awesome authentic Rolex blue bezel insert. Serial number 5513XXX dates the watch to 1978.
Original black dial with uniform and pleasing patina on the hour markers. Date at 3 o’clock.
Movement is the automatic winding Rolex Caliber 1575/1570 with 26 jewels. Movement is a C.O.S.C. Certified Chronometer and is in clean running condition.
Rolex steel Jubilee bracelet. This watch is a real prize for Rolex collectors!
