Description
There is no more handsome watch in the world than a gold Sub. Truly majestic and obviously prestigious. The 16808 Submariner is a true transitional model, introducting both the sapphire crystal and quickset date to the Submariner. As for the nipple dial, these are getting very hard to find on 16808s. Take a look, and you will find the later dials with the regular luminous.
CRISP unpolished 18k gold case measures 40mm diameter by 12.7mm thick. The condition of this case is mint+. Original blue bezel insert. Being a Submariner the watch is water resistant to 300 meters (1000 feet) and features a sapphire crystal and screw down crown. Serial number 8592XXX dates the watch to 1984.
Beautiful blue 100% original nipple dial. Date window at 3 o’clock. The color combination of the gold case and bracelet and blue nipple dial and blue bezel insert is fantastically great looking.
Movement is the automatic winding Rolex Caliber 3035 with 27 jewels and is a C.O.S.C. Certified Chronometer.
Bracelet is the original 18k Rolex Oyster with solid gold links and flip-lock clasp.
