Description
This is the nicest vintage Rolex Paul Newman Daytona we have ever seen or offered. Believe me, those words are carefully chosen and not written lightly. The burnt LEMON color dial with WHITE print in the CHOCOLATE subdials is just heaven.
100% mint and original Rolex Cosmograph Daytona chronograph reference 6264 in never polished 18k case. The 6264 is a rare Daytona and was only produced between 1969 and 1972.
Original case measures 38mm in diameter by 14.5mm thick. Plastic crystal. Original screw down crown and pump style chronograph pushers operating perfectly. Original bezel with sharp edge and clean original insert. Serial number 2357XXX dates production to 1969 which is very early in 6264 production.
Original untouched Paul Newman dial in burnt lemon color, with chocolate color subdials (color change from the original black) with the rare white print (versus gold). Intact and original luminous dots next to the hour markers. This dial is spectacularly beautiful.
Original Rolex chronograph caliber 727 with column wheel construction in pristine running condition.
Rolex 18k folded Oyster bracelet in mint condition.
