Description
Here is a special treat for vintage Submariner collectors. This 5 digit serial number Submariner has ‘6536’ between the lugs, while the inside case back has ‘6538’ crossed out and ‘6536’ engraved below. The depth rating on the Tropical Gilt Rail Track dial is in red. It doesn’t get better than this watch if you are a collector.
Original mint+ condition no crown guards steel case is 38mm diameter by 13mm thick. Original bezel with original insert with no minute hash marks, turns in both directions as it should and with the correct amount of resistance. Domed plastic crystal. Considering that in 1955, only actual divers wore Submariners, this watch is in amazing condition. Serial number 893XX dates watch to 1955.
Original untouched Tropical brown/black dial with gilt print and railtrack minutes/seconds chapter. The red ‘100/330’ depth rating demands that you stare at it, relishing that you are looking at one of the vintage Rolex world’s Holy Grails! Original hands as well.
