Description
The Day Date is Rolex’s top of the line watch. Displaying the day of the week below 12 o’clock and the date at 3 o’clock, this model also became known as The President because the watch was worn by numerous American Presidents.
Rolex has made these watches with all kinds of dials, from the pedestrian but versatile silver or champagne dials, to enamel “Stella” dials, to stone and mineral dials, to pave diamond dials. The Ivory color dial on this watch may be more discreet than the more flamboyant dials, but this is no less rare. In fact, this is a REALLY RARE President, on account of its factory black color hands and hour markers. Not surprisingly, the watch is not only very interesting, it is also very legible.
Case is 18k white gold and is 36mm in diameter, with fluted bezel and plastic crystal. Screw down crown. Screw down case back. This is the legendary Oyster case.

Automatic winding Rolex Caliber 1556 with 26 jewels and adjusted to temperature and in 5 positions. This Certified Chronometer is in immaculate running condition, with a documented service history. Most recently serviced in 2015, the movement is in perfect working order.
Watch is on unworn black leather strap with Rolex buckle.
