I estimate that there is only one steel and 18k rose gold Datejust model 1601 for every 5,000 steel or steel and yellow gold models. This is only one of a handful that we have ever offered. This watch is in mint condition and extra-rare because it is accompanied by Rolex box and original papers.
Original 36mm stainless steel and 18k rose gold case with the characteristic raised plastic crystal that gives the 1601 its unique profile. Original 18k rose gold fluted bezel and screw down crown, working perfectly.
Original champagne pie-pan dial has taken on a rose color patina to wonderful effect, with applied rose gold hour markers, gold baton hands and date display at 3’oclock.
Original automatic winding Rolex 1570 Caliber with 26 jewels, adjusted to temperature and in 5 positions. Movement is clean and running. This is a C.O.S.C. Certified Chronometer.
Rolex vintage Jubilee oval-link bracelet with steel and rose gold links and folding clasp with moderate stretch.
Very nice, rare and eminently wearable vintage Rolex watch with extra panache thanks to the rose gold.
