In our opinion, people should collect vintage Rolex Day Date 1803s like they collect Swatch watches. There are so many interesting dials and different case metals… and they’re all beautiful. This watch has a rare taupe color dial with white print (versus the MUCH more commonly found black print). Another desirable subtlety is the original pointed baton handset.
This very attractive watch has a 36mm gold case with plastic crystal, screw down crown (operating perfectly), fluted gold bezel, automatic winding Rolex Caliber 1555 with 26 jewels, and the rare dial which looks amazing.
Completely original, authentic, clean inside and outside, and running fine… this watch will last several more lifetimes despite coming into the world in 1963. Ah, they just don’t make them like they used to!
