ROGER DUBUIS EXCALIBUR DOUBLE TOURBILLON STEEL NEW

Roger Dubuis is a master watchmaker who served as a complicated watches specialist at Patek Philippe for several decades. His own watch brand delivers Patek Philippe quality with thoroughly modern and playful designs. In fact, Patek prides itself on having the Geneva Seal stamped on all of its mechanical calibers. The Geneva Seal (Poincon de Geneve) attests to a movement’s superior construction and finish. Only Roger Dubuis’s movements, in addition to Patek Philippe’s, are all submitted for this elite accolade. Remarkably, Roger Dubuis watches are made entirely in-house, with all parts made in their ateliers.

This Excalibur EX45 Double Tourbillon is a bold timepiece with its 47mm diameter stainless steel case. Sapphire crystal in front and three sapphire crystals on the case back, which is extensively decorated by engraved “RD”. The crown is protected by a discreet lever. The case back has a power reserve indicator. Watch is a limited edition of 280 watches and this is watch number 6X/280.

Dial is mother of pearl with retrograde minutes and hours, and the dual cutouts for the double tourbillons. If ever there were a visual hook for a watch, this double tourbillon is it.

Movement is the Roger Dubuis manual winding Caliber RD01 with 52 jewels and offers the only double one minute tourbillon complication in the watch world.
