Among this watch’s many charms are its unpolished 18k gold case with screw down pushers and its rare and beautiful black dial. Original ‘R’ serial number unpolished 18k gold case with some patina. Original solid gold bezel with engraved Units per Hour scale. Plastic crystal.
Original, untouched black dial with intact luminous dots, applied golden hour markers and baton hands. Contrasting gold subdials, which are sunken and with concentric guilloche.
Original Rolex manual winding Caliber 727 with 17 jewels and adjusted in 3 positions. Column wheel construction. Movement is a C.O.S.C. Certified Chronometer. Movement is clean and running.
Rolex 18k riveted Oyster bracelet, the last of the Daytonas with riveted bracelets. Bracelet has no stretch.
This 1988 6265 is the very last of the manual winding production Rolex Daytonas. This never polished watch is very collectable.
