Description
The Rolex Daytona reference 16588 is an unusual model which was produced in extremely limited numbers. Featuring 18k yellow gold case with Rolex factory pink sapphire baguette bezel, this chronograph also makes use of the excellent Zenith El Primero movement. Complemented perfectly by a pink alligator Rolex strap with 18k deployment clasp, this watch is practically unique and is a fantastic looking watch.
Case dimensions are 40mm diameter by 12.5mm thick. Sapphire crystal, along with screw-down crown and chronograph pushers, ensures 100 meters water resistance.

Original movement is the Rolex Caliber 4030 which is actually a Rolex modified Zenith El Primero base caliber. If one ever needed proof that Rolex is a perfectionist, they need look no further than their use and modifications to the El Primero. The Zenith El Primero was, and is, recognized as being the best large series production chronograph caliber made. Rolex used the El Primero in their Daytona watches, but not before doing extensive upgrades and refinements.
