Description
This watch’s rarity is only eclipsed by its beauty. To be sure, the 18028 is rare. This is the smooth bezel, transitional Day Date that introduced the sapphire crystal and quickset date. But the Lapis Lazuli Pyramid dial on this watch is insanely rare and beautiful.
Never polished 18k gold case is 36mm in diameter by 12.3mm thick. Crystal is sapphire. The smooth bezel is original and designated by the ‘2’ in 18028. Both the model number 18028 and ‘T’ serial number are clearly legible between the lugs. Screw down crown operating perfectly.
Original blue (obviously) Lapis Pyramid dial with diamond hour markers. Full day on display along with the date. Original non-luminous golden hands.
Original automatic winding Rolex Caliber 3055 with 27 jewels and adjusted to five positions and to temperature. Movement is a C.O.S.C. Certified Chronometer and is clean running condition.
New navy blue leather strap with Rolex buckle.
